Ruben Dias fires Arsenal warning after Manchester City outclass Liverpool

Manchester City defender Ruben Dias has issued a clear message to Arsenal, warning their title rivals after City’s dominant win over Liverpool on Sunday.
It was more than just a statement result, it was a reminder that Pep Guardiola’s side are still the team to beat. Dias looked fired up and confident, and you could tell from his post-match comments that City are far from easing off.
As a fan watching that performance, it felt like City were sending out a message to the whole league, they’re ready to go all the way again and they’re just getting started.
The league leaders lost two crucial points away to Sunderland after Brian Brobbey’s late equaliser at the Stadium of Light, but City overcame a weak Liverpool defence to win 3-0 and move within four points of them.
After destroying the Reds, City declared their goal to regain the Premier League title. The hosts easily defeated their championship rivals with to goals from Erling Haaland, Nico Gonzalez, and Jeremy Doku.
The performance of Arne Slot’s team was disappointing, and they haven’t shown much promise of re-entering the battle alongside Arsenal and their rivals.

Arsenal and the rest of the Premier League were informed by Liverpool’s setback that Pep Guardiola’s team is once again vying for the top spot in the division.
City had won four titles prior to last season’s collapse and had made it a habit to accumulate trophies. Now that they are winning again, they pose a threat to Arsenal’s chances once more.

After the game, Dias stated that very few teams can match City’s calibre and implied that they are once again at their merciless top.
Few people can rule out City regaining the narrow lead Mikel Arteta’s club has at the top of the standings with Haaland scoring more than one goal per game.
“Obviously very happy for him [Pep Guardiola on his 1000th game as a manager],” Dias stated in an interview with Sky Sports.
These kinds of games are what we live for. This kind of level is the highest level. Everyone played a fantastic game. We must all push themselves. Everyone needs to be pushed, including myself.

Throughout the game, the defender complimented Doku’s performance and Haaland’s hard ethic, comparing their performances to the legendary City teams of the past.
“These were the details that made them win so much before I came to this club and watched this club,” he remarked.
Everyone’s willingness to show up and make sacrifices for the man next to him varies. This is nothing new; it has been happening for some time.
Since the previous season, we have been discussing a rebuild. Dias maintains that despite City’s rapid recruitment, the calibre of players has not decreased.
Liverpool, on the other hand, seem to have regressed on the pitch following a record-breaking summer of recruiting.
“Yes, there are new faces due of the departing ones, but we continue to push and the quality remains the same. With feet on the ground, the season is still early,” Dias continued.

So far this season, Arsenal has been the best side in the Premier League. This season, the Gunners have had an unbeatable defence, giving up only five goals in all competitions, and they looked most likely to take a commanding lead.
However, pressure will unavoidably start to build around the Emirates after a dismal draw with the Black Cats put City within touching distance.
With matches against Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Tottenham Hotspur following the international break, Arteta’s team will continue to face difficulties.
After the break, City will face their own obstacles. Guardiola will have a challenging match when they go to St. James’ Park to play Eddie Howe’s Newcastle.
Although the Magpies haven’t played at their peak this season, they can always defeat the more established teams.
Dias and his side can continue their remarkable winning streak with upcoming home games against Leeds United and Bayer Leverkusen. If the Gunners want to keep City at a distance, they must win all of their next games.
