Roy Keane Urges ‘Madman’ Manager to Replace Amorim at Man Utd as Reports Reveal Sack Pressure

We have thoroughly examined the Portuguese’s predicament and outlined the future plans for the under-fire Red Devils manager, while Manchester United great Roy Keane has stated why he thinks Diego Simeone would be the ideal successor to Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.

Eleven months ago, after a lacklustre season debut, Erik ten Hag was fired, and Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his other board members looked to Amorim.

However, Manchester United was tragically greatly incorrect if they thought that the acquisition of the much-heralded Portuguese would result in an instant improvement.

Amorim is under a lot of pressure to start moving the team up the league ladder after finishing the season in 15th place, which was their lowest ever in the Premier League, and losing in the Europa League final, which prevented the team from playing in Europe for just the second time in 35 years.

A much-needed victory over Sunderland, along with some consoling words from Ratcliffe, seems to have altered the atmosphere for Amorim at Old Trafford after a lacklustre start had increased the strain.

But according to a number of sources, including writer Pete O’Rourke, the 40-year-old’s future is still uncertain, and he has indicated why it might very well fall on his head very soon.

It’s a results-driven company, you see. And it clearly puts a lot of pressure on Amorim if you’re not seeing results,” O’Rourke stated on the Inside Track show.”

Man United will be under more pressure and may be compelled to make a change if their performances and results don’t improve and they end up far down the table.

Ratcliffe has shown Amorim a great deal of public support by stating that he wants to give him three years to establish himself at Manchester United.

We are aware that Ratcliffe has stated that he wants to give him three years to make amends and establish his worth.

The pressure will only increase if the performances don’t improve in the interim, and you usually do have a change of managers after that.

“What happens at Old Trafford will determine Ruben Amorim’s future.”

Jones noted, “Behind Ratcliffe’s calm exterior, sources understand that his job is not guaranteed to be safe with a big pair of demands on performances and results.”Jones explained the circumstances and the demands placed on the management.

To that purpose, the team will keep a careful eye on their performances and outcomes at a period when keeping up with the team’s fight for European football is the primary goal.

He is safe, according to reports, but only for the time being. The club wants him to concentrate on the next schedule, which includes the crucial match against rivals Liverpool at Anfield.

Insiders maintain that there is no interference or problem with him sticking to the tactical setup he prefers, and there was relief when he switched the lineup around in the Sunderland victory, as TEAMtalk stated was likely to occur in a report on October 2.

“United’s performance levels and consistency are expected to improve, though,” Jones added.

In order to swiftly assemble a shortlist of possible managers to target in the event that Amorim is unable to produce the required outcomes, specific statistical work is conducted behind the scenes.

However, there is optimism that next matches against Tottenham, Brighton, Nottingham Forest, and Liverpool will result in a more favourable perception of the enterprise.

United is only four points behind fourth place in a closely contested Premier League standings after a generally bad start. There is yet time for things to improve and for Amorim to succeed in 2025–2026.

Sources insist that Amorim isn’t leaving during the international break, even if he and United still have important weeks ahead of them.

Ratcliffe is committed to Amorim’s success and the club avoiding another expensive payout, Rudy Galetti also disclosed. He wrote, “The message behind the scenes at United is clear – continuity, not disruption.”

Under the direction of co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the club’s management is committed to preventing another expensive midseason managerial change.

Additionally, Galetti asserts that the team will be monitoring other options, saying: “At this time, no advanced discussions have taken place with other managers, but some within the club are quietly pushing to assess alternative options.”

Simeone is Roy Keane’s preferred choice to lead Manchester United. Several commentators are undoubtedly considering successors if United’s board isn’t already, and Keane has shared why he believes Simeone would be a perfect fit.

Because of his strange reaction at full time after the 1-1 draw against Celta Vigo on October 5, Spanish journalists have called the Argentine “a madman, who can’t be held accountable for his actions.”

Nevertheless, Keane feels Simeone would be a perfect fit and that his arrival would cause a stir.

“I’ve said it for years, I’d like Simeone from Atletico Madrid to go in there,” Keane stated on The Overlap. He should go there, in my opinion.

I am aware that his friend, Andrea Berta, the sporting director of Arsenal, recently departed Atletico.

He would probably just cause chaos, but constructive chaos, in my opinion. He would rock up there. I only want to see his personality and his history, no promises.

“They scored five goals against Real Madrid [winning 5-2] last weekend, notwithstanding what others may say about their football styles.

His teams can play a little and battle, but he dislikes them giving up too many goals or opportunities. “A few weeks ago at Liverpool, where Atletico lost 3-2 in the Champions League… Despite not being as good as they were a few years ago, the team never gave up.

I’d prefer a huge personality, but he’s on the sidelines and was sent off that night. “I’d still say give the man a chance, absolutely,” Keane joked when asked how long he would give Amorim. One more week.
