Liverpool just ‘one loss away from crisis’ as pressure mounts on Arne Slot ahead of Brentford clash

One journalist claims that Liverpool manager Arne Slot is “just one loss away from a potential crisis” and that the Reds “can’t afford” to lose to Brentford this weekend.
Hugo Ekitike, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Cody Gakpo, and Dominik Szoboszlai all scored goals as the Reds crushed Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday, ending a record of four straight losses in all competitions.
Liverpool is hoping to snap a three-game losing streak in the Premier League with losses to Manchester United, Chelsea, and Crystal Palace when they visit Brentford this weekend.

After five games, the Reds led Arsenal by five points; but, following those three losses, they are presently four points behind the Gunners.
According to some reports, Liverpool had a “emergency meeting” after losing to Manchester United at home last weekend, and Slot was “in danger” as the board made two requests of him.
“Liverpool’s board is demanding that Arne Slot stabilise his performance before the project’s continuity is jeopardised,” the article stated earlier this week. Big-budget acquisitions need to start delivering.
Journalist Pete O’Rourke now believes that Slot will have a “big period” for Liverpool because every manager at a major club is “just one loss away from a potential crisis.”
“It’s a big time coming up for Liverpool, and they had a big win in their Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt in the middle of the week,” O’Rourke told Football Insider.
“They had lost four straight games for the first time since 2014, I believe, and they really needed that win to break the rut that had set in.”
It goes without saying that the manager is chosen based on performance; pressure arises if you’re not meeting expectations and producing outcomes.
Whether you’re Arne Slot, who won the Premier League with Liverpool the previous season, or someone else, it doesn’t matter.
“You could have a crisis at any major club with only one loss. As you mentioned, Liverpool is in a crucial time right now.
They have a difficult match away to Brentford this Sunday, and they really can’t afford to lose too many more Premier League points if they want to stay up with Arsenal, the top team.
Mick Brown, a former top scout for Manchester United who still has a lot of connections in the Premier League, believes the Liverpool board was “concerned” following their loss to the Red Devils last weekend.
“Any team that loses four straight games is going to be worried,” Brown told Football Insider.
Since replacing Jurgen Klopp, Slot has performed admirably; they won the league the previous season and performed admirably, therefore I believe they are still a strong team.
Even while he says all the right things in the press, some people won’t be pleased with their recent decline in form and performances.

Particularly following a crucial match like the one versus United, which they always hope to win.
When you’re in charge of a team the magnitude of Liverpool, you’re expected to win every game, so losing four straight is never acceptable.
Both the board and the supporters will notice it, and they’ll be anticipating that the results will improve shortly.
Sometimes it’s hard to pinpoint the exact reason why things start to go wrong, and Liverpool doesn’t seem to be clicking at the moment.
“I’m sure they’ll pick it up and return to their previous form, but the manager probably needs it to happen quickly rather than later or he’ll be under pressure.”
The game will be a one of the amazing match to watch on Saturday, evening because Liverpool is under high pressure and won’t want to loose the match, Brentford will not also want to loose a home match.
Let’s just watch and see what the outcome will look like, because nobody can predict what will happen, so just grab your popcorn and enjoy the game.
