Jamie Carragher names the only factor that could stop Arsenal from winning the Premier League title

Following consecutive losses that sent Liverpool into a mini-crisis following a stellar start to the season, Jamie Carragher has identified “the only thing” that can prevent Arsenal from winning the Premier League title under Mikel Arteta this season.

With Arsenal now leading the table and the Reds in second place, most people now believe Arteta has the best team in the Premier League at his disposal and has no reason not to go all the way.

And because they have “the best squad,” Liverpool icon Carragher thinks Arsenal is now the front-runner for the championship. However, he has identified one element that might prove their downfall.

Carragher stated on the Stick to Football podcast that “the only thing that can stop [Arsenal] is the same thing that has stopped other teams in the past.” By March or April, you’re desperate for it. It is much desired by the supporters. Liverpool isn’t themselves right now.

Liverpool legend Carragher believes Arsenal is now the clear favourite to win the title since they have “the best squad.” He has, nevertheless, pinpointed one factor that could ultimately lead to their demise.

According to the legend statement on the Stick to Football podcast, “the only thing that can stop [Arsenal] is the same thing that has stopped other teams in the past.”

You are in dire need of it by March or April. Supporters really want it. At the moment, Liverpool is not itself.

“They’ll return.” I believe Alex Ferguson once said, “If you’re three or four points behind the leaders going into January or February,” in reference to what [Manchester United] used to do.

Next up was Gary Neville, who said, “Especially with a team that hasn’t won it as much.” “Just right,” Carragher continued. “I believe that Liverpool will improve if they are able to fall five or six points behind in February.

They don’t deserve the points they have on the board, in my opinion, given their efforts in some areas. “Points will still be dropped unexpectedly in the days leading up to Christmas.

Arsenal, however, will lose points. Football is that. Liverpool and Manchester City may win the championship if they could follow Ferguson’s United’s lead.

After picking out a “couple of results” this season where the Spaniard picked the wrong club, Arsenal icon Ian Wright is optimistic about his old team’s chances this season and thinks it’s now up to Arteta to “put the right pieces in the picture at the right time.”

“What last week did is remind people that, listen, we have a great chance of winning the league,” Wright stated. “We currently have the greatest team in the league, in my opinion.

The manager now has the responsibility of ensuring that the appropriate components are included in the picture at the appropriate moment.

“I believe he could have started different players to finish the game in a few of the results we’ve seen, but he does his thing by motivating others; he did a good job against Newcastle.”

He was more upbeat, which was precisely what we needed. “Because we were unable to profit from Liverpool’s error last year. We didn’t exploit it.

However, when we did that to Newcastle, it helped people recognise that, yes, this is a step forward in our efforts and that we will continue to fight as long as possible.

“Now that we’ve seen City and Liverpool falter, everyone is saying, ‘Oh, it’s Arsenal now,'” when discussing Arsenal. Arsenal is now in control, and this is where our players’ mindset is evident.

Having placed second three times, they are aware of what to do. They have spent the past few seasons pursuing City and Liverpool.

They must mentally go and do it since it is now their time. “The desire to win it is already exciting, so there’s no reason to be scared to say that. Arsenal is capable of accepting it.
