Endrick breaks silence on surprise Man Utd transfer links amid Benjamin Sesko injury concerns

Following Benjamin Sesko’s recent injury setback, reports suggest that Real Madrid youngster Endrick had an interesting reaction to Manchester United’s unexpected interest in him.

The story quickly made waves across Europe, especially considering the club’s already huge summer spending.

During that window, United splashed close to £200 million to bring in Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, and Sesko — all arriving at Old Trafford with big expectations and price tags to match.

It’s clear the club is investing heavily in attacking options, though not every signing has hit the ground running just yet.

Personally, I think Endrick’s calm response shows maturity beyond his age, he’s not rushing into the hype, which says a lot about his mentality.

With just two Premier League goals in 11 games, Sesko’s efforts have been underwhelming despite the Red Devils’ improved goal output this season.

Fans were concerned that Sesko’s knee injury from their 2-2 draw with Tottenham over the weekend would be a major ACL injury.

Fabrizio Romano, however, reiterated yesterday that Sesko’s injury won’t be a “super long one” like “six, seven, eight months” and that it isn’t his ACL.

Romano wrote: “My understanding is that Benjamin Sesko’s injury is not very serious, but we are still awaiting an official statement from Manchester United.”

Therefore, it won’t take six, seven or eight months for Benjamin Sesko to return to the field due to this injury.

“Well, let’s wait for Manchester United’s medical department to conduct the last test. We’ll have to wait for an official statement, but right now, Manchester United employees are feeling very good about the injury.

Therefore, it won’t be that severe or lengthy. It won’t be a very long process, but it will take some time.

Naturally, this is good news for Manchester United and may potentially affect the January transfer market because, following the game, Ruben Amorim stated, “Let’s see about Benjamin Sesko’s injury.”

We could need to take action in that situation if it becomes serious in January, but as of right now, it doesn’t appear to be an ACL injury, so it’s a very lengthy one.

Endrick, a Brazilian striker, has been mentioned, but according to Globo Esporte, a Brazilian publication, “it’s only a matter of time before Endrick joins Lyon for the final stretch of the 2025/26 season.”

According to reports, “the French club is already exchanging drafts with Real Madrid to expedite bureaucratic aspects of the contract to be signed at the end of the year.”

According to the article, “the 19-year-old welcomed the transfer to France from the very first moment, and negotiations began in the second half of November.”

Even Manchester United’s recent interest after Slovenian Benjamin Šeško’s injury didn’t change Endrick’s thinking; he still wants a prominent position and playing time to realise his dream of playing for his country in the World Cup.

Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach of Brazil, disclosed that he suggested Endrick talk to Real Madrid to determine his best course of action for the second half of the season.

Carlo Ancelotti recently spoke about the young Brazilian, saying, “Yes, I spoke with him earlier this season. He was injured then, but now he’s fine and back in training.

He just needs to sit down with his entourage and the club to decide what’s truly best for his future.”

The Real Madrid boss added, “Endrick is still very young, this won’t be his only chance to play in a World Cup. He could feature in 2026, 2030, 2034, and maybe even 2038, because the talent is there.”

Honestly, I love how calm and patient Ancelotti sounds here. He’s clearly trying to protect Endrick from the immense pressure. At that age, careful guidance is everything, and Madrid seem to understand that perfectly.
