Carlo Ancelotti criticises Vinicius Jr for El Clasico outburst at Xabi Alonso, says Brazilian “he made a mistake”

Vinicius Jr.’s outburst following his substitution by Xabi Alonso during Real Madrid’s 2-1 Clasico victory against Barcelona has drawn criticism from Carlo Ancelotti, who branded the forward’s actions “a mistake.”
As the player and coach prepare for next month’s international matches, the Brazil manager disclosed that he has since had a straight conversation with the 25-year-old, indicating that the matter has been settled.
Although Real Madrid celebrated their victory at El Casico on October 26, Vinicius’ irate response to being replaced in the second half dominated the conversation after the game.

When Arda Guler replaced the Brazilian winger in the 72nd minute, he headed straight down the tunnel instead of joining his colleagues on the bench. His actions immediately caused controversy.
Vinicius apologised publicly on social media in the hours following the game, admitting that his feelings had overcome him.
Tensions within the Real Madrid camp were reduced by the apologies, and it has been confirmed that he also had a private conversation with Alonso to diffuse the situation.

Club insiders stressed that there was no long-lasting animosity between the management and the player despite the brief drama.
With Alonso’s team battling to hold onto their La Liga lead and managing a demanding Champions League schedule, the incident occurred at a sensitive juncture in Real Madrid’s season.
The outburst momentarily threatened to overshadow what had otherwise been a spectacular performance, even though Madrid’s 2-1 victory over Barcelona strengthened their credentials.
However, Alonso’s calm handling of the situation and the player’s apologies made sure that emotions didn’t get worse.
Vinicius was directly informed by Ancelotti that “he made a mistake.”

When asked about the situation, Selecao manager Ancelotti did not hold back when revealing Brazil’s team for their forthcoming friendly in November.
“We get along really well with Vinicius. We make sure to discuss anything that occurs,” Ancelotti stated. “I discussed the matter and Vinicius’s response with him. I expressed to him my opinion that he had erred. He expressed regret, and the issue has been settled. He is a crucial player.
The seasoned manager, who trained Vinicius at Real Madrid in the past, also stated that his relationship with the forward is still focused and professional.
“He has no issues with his coach, his club, or this place. Regarding his private life, Ancelotti explained, “I’m not his brother or parent; I’m simply his coach.
For a long time, Vinicius Jr.’s fiery temperament has been both his greatest asset and a constant source of controversy since his competitive drive occasionally explodes under pressure.
In this instance, his disappointment with his own performance and desire to remain on the pitch were the root of his displeasure rather than a personal problem with Alonso.
Ancelotti’s long-standing impact on Vinicius’ growth made his intervention noteworthy.
The Brazilian developed from a raw, erratic talent to one of the best forwards in the world while being managed by the Italian at Real Madrid, where he helped the team win La Liga and the Champions League.

Vinicius is still essential to Real Madrid’s and Brazil’s plans going into a pivotal period of games, despite the little drama.
The 23-year-old was part of Ancelotti’s most recent team for the November friendlies against Senegal and Tunisia, which are scheduled to be played at Decathlon Arena in Lille and Emirates Stadium in London, respectively.
Vinicius will be expected to spearhead the assault alongside compatriots Rodrygo and Eder Militao as Brazil continues to refine their system under Ancelotti’s direction.
After a difficult few days, Vinicius will have the chance to return his attention to his on-field performances in the forthcoming games.
Ancelotti will be relying on his Real Madrid team to offer both talent and stability as Brazil looks to recover from their unexpected 3-2 loss to Japan in October. The issue currently seems to be resolved for Real Madrid.
In addition to starting Los Blancos’ match against Valencia over the weekend, Alonso has already accepted Vinicius’ apologies. On Tuesday, the player will start again at Anfield against Liverpool in the Champions League.
