Ruben Amorim Man Utd transfer plans revealed as boss targets new attacker amid January ‘problem’

With Benjamin Sesko struggling to make an impact, reports suggest Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is eager to bring in a fresh striker when the January transfer window opens.
It’s no surprise, really the team needs a sharper finisher upfront, someone who can turn half-chances into goals.
Fans are already speculating who that signing might be, and it’s clear Amorim isn’t willing to waste time waiting for form to return.
Bryan Mbeumo gave Manchester United the lead in north London in minute thirty-two, and the Red Devils saved a late point in a 2-2 draw against Tottenham.
Matthijs de Ligt scored a header from a corner in the sixth minute of injury time to secure a draw, but Thomas Frank’s team rallied late on with Mathys Tel and Richarlison as they were certain to win all three points.
Sesko, a Slovenian international who has only scored two goals this season, wasted two excellent opportunities to score for earlier in the game, and his afternoon was cut short when he was substituted late due to an injury.

Amorim also said that Manchester United might bolster their attacking team during the January transfer window, since Mbeumo is expected to miss up to a month of play due to his December departure for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Although it’s unclear how serious Sesko’s injury is, Amorim made a suggestion that he would look to make a transfer to strengthen his assault.
“We have to check everything, we have to check what’s happened with Ben,” Amorim said to reporters.
“There will undoubtedly be a problem there (AFCON), but we already knew that. You can prepare in the summer, but you have a lot of players who won’t play because there is only one game per week, so managing that situation will be difficult.
Let’s see if we can improve the team and try to fix something that happened when the window opens.” We must bear the risk until then. We’ll see.
Additionally, according to a trustworthy source from “five elite reporters” on X this morning, Amorim wants to sign a new forward before the winter transfer window closes.
“Multiple sources now stating Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim wants to bring another attacker in January #mufc,” the user posted on X.
Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov stated on Premier League Productions after watching Sesko play Tottenham: “I want to be supportive, I sympathise with his situation.”

“Yes, he needed to improve. Perhaps move the ball more to his left foot to get rid of the defender, but we also can’t take away Mickey van de Ven’s incredible tackle.
“Maybe a player is impacted by their lack of confidence and playing time.” “It may indicate that you are not prepared to enter the game at full speed if you sustain an injury as a result of it.”
Ex Spurs player Jermaine Defoe continued after witnessing Sesko miss opportunities against Tottenham: “I said before the game, for a centre forward…
when you’re rested or dropped, whatever it is, you’re not in the team and you’re disappointed, but make sure you’re ready to come on, because you get a moment or a chance and you can change the game.”
“It was a great tackle, so I’m not saying it was an easy chance, but when you go through it, it’s conviction.”
“If you move the ball away from the defender, you may run and finish; the first touch always creates the goal.
“He’ll probably be frustrated when he looks back at it, he didn’t really get a clear chance to make his mark and ended up picking up a knock instead.
But that’s football; you’ve got to always be ready to come on, make a difference, and grab whatever moment comes your way.”
