It's time for a reaction to the reaction regarding Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid, alongside the contentious notion that Harry Kane could hold greater significance for England than Jarrod Bowen.
Trent is not the antagonist
I've been a reader for a long time and I'm not new to writing, but it's been quite a while since I last wrote (7 years… How time flies). I feel the need to write a defense of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
There’s an abundance of hostility aimed at him from both supporters and commentators. Jamie Carragher, specifically, stating that Trent ought to sign a longer deal so the club is compensated for his transfer to Real is nonsense.
John Henry, who is valued at BILLIONS of dollars, did not steer his business to prioritize renewing a highly valuable contract; why are we holding the asset responsible?
If Trent had experienced a career-ending injury at the beginning of this season, would the club have kindly offered him a new contract valued in millions due to his past contributions? Liverpool FC and TAA have upheld a contractual arrangement that they both have honored thus far. The contract is concluding, and that's final; neither party owes anything to the other.
Trent has dedicated himself to the club for years, performed exceptionally well most of the time, and appears to be looking for a change in his career. I will feel sorrowful to watch him leave, but I wish him the best.
Ziggy (raising two small children certainly interferes with crafting pointless messages to my favorite football site)
I'm not sure what transpired or if I overlooked something, but isn't this the child who has spent his entire life at LFC, evolved into a premier RB, and delivered astonishing assists year after year?
was a significant factor in their winning the league TWICE, along with the CL, the FA Cup, and the EFL Cup. And now he's considered garbage just because... he wishes to go to Madrid?
That is simply very foolish. We allowed CR7 to move to Madrid at his PRIME and bid him farewell with care and fondness. Likewise, TAA deserves to be sent off with affection, motivation, and backing from LFC supporters. He is the finest RB you’ve had in decades, and a genuine Liverpool lad.
He may not be Rashford, Pogba, Lingard, Martial, or Phil Jones, but he genuinely gives his all for the team and has guided them to victory. Take pride in his accomplishments and back him for his future endeavors.
Just my two cents as a United fan who appreciates TAA as an offensive fullback. He may be a poor defender, but I'd still choose him as my right back over anyone from United's lineup in the past ten years.

Caution the Ides of March
The Liverpool supporters claiming we won't miss Trent due to Connor Bradley have a bit of an Ibe vibe! …let's hope the difference isn't as pronounced as it was with Sterling and Ibe!

Bowen arrows
I skimmed the mention of ‘a striker dropping deep’ when I initially responded to Tom G’s Mail, feeling sympathy for Jarrod Bowen, mainly because the part about him ‘having played as a forward’ for just 3 months appeared more significant. However, after reading Mike's email in the most recent inbox, it appears that West Ham fans have agreed on this as a topic.
Mike states that the very last thing Bowen requires is to be positioned behind a stationary Kane. I'm sorry to say this, but if Bowen is unable to play alongside Kane, that's a significant issue for him, not for Harry. Kane is our leader, top goal scorer, and overall best player, so if Bowen cannot make runs to generate space for him, he won’t be successful, and that’s simply how it is.
Bowen is an excellent player, yet teams are not designed to fit in backup wingers. In my opinion, there's no reason Kane and Bowen can't play together, but it's Jarrod Bowen who must adjust his style to make it happen, and that won't change.

Property titles
I came across your article earlier regarding 'five possible penalties' for Man City IF they are determined to have violated regulations, and you considered that taking away their Premier League titles from the time in question would be the harshest punishment. You mention that 'Arsenal, Liverpool, and Man Utd would happily embrace their long-awaited championship celebrations.'
As a supporter of Liverpool, I would not be in favor of the titles being reassigned or being recognized for a league victory in this way. If Man City violated the regulations, it could have impacted all the teams they faced, including those relegated teams that wouldn't gain any advantage.
I would prefer that their titles be revoked and the record indicate that no team emerged victorious, as the integrity of the competition was undermined. They must also return any prize money, which should then be redistributed among the teams participating in the competition for that year.
That, along with a transfer ban for the entire season for any year in which rules violations are confirmed. They appear to possess a good academy, which might restrict them, but likely not to the point where they would face relegation risk.
Does this appear equitable?
