Two Manchester United transfer choices revealed by merciless Nottingham Forest after baffling £90m decisions

Manchester United’s decision to sell Anthony Elanga for £15m while rating Alejandro Garnacho at £70m illustrates the kind of errors that define their transfer missteps.  Manchester United are terrible at signings. That is no surprise. Their terrible history of post-Ferguson acquisitions is painfully familiar. However, they are arguably inferior in every facet of player sales, and insufficient emphasis is placed on how that disastrous failure has been more persistently harmful than subpar recruitment to their prospects for a significant rebuild.  They have never earned over £100m in a single season from player sales (four Premier League teams achieved this in just one season). They are the sole Premier League club whose highest sale happened prior to 2011. They still consider David Beckham's transfer to Real Madrid in 2003 as their fourth-biggest sale ever, and two players ahead of him – Angel Di Maria and Romelu Lukaku – were sold at a loss compared to their initial signing fe...

Man City aim to entice Aston Villa with a £50million offer for a midfielder due to PSR concerns

Manchester City is said to be keen on acquiring one of Aston Villa's top prospects this summer as they continue their rebuilding efforts.

The new chapter at City has already started with Pep Guardiola’s four new signings in the January transfer window along with a new contract for Erling Haaland earlier this season.

Omar Marmoush, Victor Reis, Nico Gonzalez, and Abdukodir Khusanov all arrived during the winter transfer window to strengthen their veteran team.

Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne will both have their contracts expire in the summer, while John Stones has just been sidelined for a lengthy time, raising doubts about key players.

With Villa already having several thrilling prospects, such as ex-City academy player Morgan Rogers, Guardiola’s team is rumored to be interested in signing another young English star, Jacob Ramsey.

As per a recent report from TBR Football, Guardiola seeks to acquire the adaptable star for the Etihad Stadium this summer, with the midfielder's price estimated around £50million.

This kind of fee could significantly alleviate Villa's PSR worries as they are currently in 10th place in the league standings, and missing out on European competition, particularly the Champions League, might result in financial problems next season, particularly due to their large wage expenses and possible agreements for loan players Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio.

Ramsey’s adaptability and vigor in the midfield would enhance City, especially since players like De Bruyne, Gundogan, and even Bernardo Silva seem to have seen better days after years of continual achievement.

His capacity to operate in various midfield roles and on the flanks makes him an intriguing and distinctive potential acquisition, providing City with a fresh dynamic after their existing strategy has become stagnant this season.

Possible transactions for Man City

De Bruyne and Gundogan might leave this summer, and there are uncertainties regarding various players who may have reached the conclusion of their stint at the club.

Goalkeeper Ederson has faced criticism for his subpar performances in crucial matches, and he was once rumored to transfer last summer to the Saudi Arabia Pro League. Current negative feedback may prompt him to consider a move to several possible destinations.

Next is Jack Grealish, the ex-Villa standout, who has taken on a minor role under Guardiola this season, and the signing of Marmoush has only hindered his chances of reaching the first team even more. His future appears remarkably unpredictable.

Moreover, Kyle Walker is presently on loan at AC Milan and his long-term future appears to be outside City, and they are still aspiring to substitute the England international with skilled Juventus player Andrea Cambiaso, whom they were strongly connected with during the January transfer period.
