Man City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne has announced that he will depart from the Etihad Stadium at the conclusion of the season in an emotional message.  In the past year, there have been speculations that the Belgium international might be transferring to Saudi Arabia, Major League Soccer, or another overseas league.  His choice has likely been influenced by the Citizens' displays this season, as the reigning Premier League champions sit in fifth place in the standings.  Man City has just one opportunity to win the FA Cup before the season concludes, further enhancing De Bruyne's remarkable collection of trophies in Manchester.  De Bruyne has netted 106 goals in 413 games across all competitions, with the Belgian securing six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups, and one Champions League during his tenure at the Etihad.  On Friday, De Bruyne made a statement on social media announcing his departure from the club, noting that it was the right “time...

Laliga President responds to allegations that Real Madrid might leave Spanish football

• Real Madrid irritated by purported biased officiating by referees.

• Club is allegedly considering options to exit La Liga and Spanish football.

• League president Javier Tebas dismisses what he sees as hollow threats.

Laliga President Javier Tebas has charged Real Madrid with making hollow threats regarding uncertainties about their ongoing involvement in Spanish football.

Madrid have been angered by what they see as unfair treatment from La Liga referees in recent months. The club dispatched an irate letter to Spain’s football federation (RFEF) following a surprising 1-0 loss to Espanyol at the beginning of February.

Since then, there has been additional dissatisfaction with refereeing in later matches against Atletico Madrid and Osasuna. In the recent match, Jude Bellingham received a red card in the first half for reportedly using offensive language towards the referee and has been suspended for two matches. The midfielder asserts that his frustration was directed at himself and that what he actually said was misunderstood.

At the beginning of this week, it was proposed that Madrid has been exploring options to exit La Liga and Spanish football entirely. However, it would be an extremely complex procedure needing consent from various football organizations and a receptive hosting league.

"It's a deception," stated Tebas straightforwardly while addressing an event in southern Spain, Los Desayunos de La Cronica de Badajoz.

"They are aware that it is unfeasible." A sports law exists stating that Spanish clubs are required to participate in national competitions. "[The threat] is employed to reinforce the strategy they are implementing," he noted.

"To which league are they planning to go?"

Carlo Ancelotti indicated before this week's Champions League win against Manchester City that Madrid feels more content with the level of refereeing in European tournaments.

However, Barcelona youth player Lamine Yamal taught everyone a lesson with his grown-up perspective on the matter, in light of accusations that both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are also unfairly judged.

"The reality is that I believe recently nearly everything is being questioned." "It's a challenging role since there will always be someone dissatisfied," said the 17-year-old.
