After his team's 3-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion, Ruben Amorim became so enraged that he damaged the television in the Manchester United dressing room.
Amorim acknowledged that his team might be the worst in United's history after United's heartbreaking home loss, which followed days of outstanding performances against Liverpool and Arsenal.
As it happens, displeasure was evident behind the scenes as well. The Athletic claims that after the game, Amorim damaged the big TV in United's changing room because he was so upset over the loss.
Amorim reportedly made little effort to conceal his annoyance, launching into a vocal diatribe that was interspersed with screen damage as the head coach scolded his team for what he considered to be a subpar performance.
Typically, Amorim is thought to remain silent right after games as he digests the results, but he reportedly stunned several players with a stunning outburst of emotion.
After gathering his thoughts for his press conference, Amorim apologized to supporters for what he acknowledged would be a protracted period of disappointment and warned his players that their pain was far from over.
Before United hosts Rangers at Old Trafford on Thursday, the TV will be corrected.
