Two Manchester United transfer choices revealed by merciless Nottingham Forest after baffling £90m decisions

Manchester United’s decision to sell Anthony Elanga for £15m while rating Alejandro Garnacho at £70m illustrates the kind of errors that define their transfer missteps.  Manchester United are terrible at signings. That is no surprise. Their terrible history of post-Ferguson acquisitions is painfully familiar. However, they are arguably inferior in every facet of player sales, and insufficient emphasis is placed on how that disastrous failure has been more persistently harmful than subpar recruitment to their prospects for a significant rebuild.  They have never earned over £100m in a single season from player sales (four Premier League teams achieved this in just one season). They are the sole Premier League club whose highest sale happened prior to 2011. They still consider David Beckham's transfer to Real Madrid in 2003 as their fourth-biggest sale ever, and two players ahead of him – Angel Di Maria and Romelu Lukaku – were sold at a loss compared to their initial signing fe...

Man City Unveils Exciting New Signing Vitor Reis From Palmeiras

Vitor Reis, a center-back for Palmeiras, has officially signed with Manchester City.

Reis, 19, has received interest from some of Europe's finest sides but City moved quickly early in the summer window to make the Brazilian a crucial element of their defensive revamp.

Recently, Uzbekistan international Abdukodir Khusanov moved from Lens for £33.6 million, and Reis has now followed him, reportedly paying £29.4 million.

He told club media, "I'm thrilled to be joining Manchester City, one of the biggest clubs in the world." "Everyone has witnessed the incredible accomplishments in the last few seasons, and as we aim for more trophies, I want to leave my mark.

"Every young player aspires to work with Pep Guardiola, and I am confident that he can help me become the best player I can be."

"City has considerable experience with Brazilian players, and having Ederson and Savinho in the team will greatly assist me."

Txiki Begiristain, director of football, went on to say: "We're thrilled to have Vitor Reis here. He's one of the world's most promising young defenders.

"He has demonstrated in his brief time playing senior football in Brazil that he can make significant progress in the game, and we are confident that working with Pep and our coaches will help him perform at his peak. He possesses all the qualities required to be among the greatest; he is superb in the air and on the ball.

"Vitor is quite young, yet his skill level is so impressive that we think he can assist us immediately and for many years ahead."
