Two Manchester United transfer choices revealed by merciless Nottingham Forest after baffling £90m decisions

Manchester United’s decision to sell Anthony Elanga for £15m while rating Alejandro Garnacho at £70m illustrates the kind of errors that define their transfer missteps.  Manchester United are terrible at signings. That is no surprise. Their terrible history of post-Ferguson acquisitions is painfully familiar. However, they are arguably inferior in every facet of player sales, and insufficient emphasis is placed on how that disastrous failure has been more persistently harmful than subpar recruitment to their prospects for a significant rebuild.  They have never earned over £100m in a single season from player sales (four Premier League teams achieved this in just one season). They are the sole Premier League club whose highest sale happened prior to 2011. They still consider David Beckham's transfer to Real Madrid in 2003 as their fourth-biggest sale ever, and two players ahead of him – Angel Di Maria and Romelu Lukaku – were sold at a loss compared to their initial signing fe...

Axel Disasi is considering a move to a Premier League competitor after reaching a personal agreement.

According to a source, Chelsea center-back Axel Disasi is eager to move to Villa Park before the transfer window ends after reaching a personal agreement with Aston Villa.

Disasi, who cost £38.5 million to join Chelsea in the summer of 2023, has fallen in the rankings since current manager Enzo Maresca took over, even though he was a consistent starter in his first season under Mauricio Pochettino.

Disasi has made just six Premier League appearances this season, mostly as an emergency right-back. According to Maresca, the 26-year-old seems to lag behind Trevoh Chalobah, Benoit Badiashile, Tosin Adarabioyo, Wesley Fofana, Levi Colwill, and even Josh Acheampong, a rising academy star, in his preferred position.

Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus, and Villarreal are among the teams that have indicated interest in signing Disasi this month; during the past several days, rumors about Villa's interest have been gradually intensifying.

Fabrizio Romano has recently disclosed that Villa and Disasi have already reached a personal agreement, and that following discussions with the manager, Disasi is now prioritizing Unai Emery's team. Since Chelsea and Villa are currently engaged in negotiations to try to reach an agreement, there is no mention of a possible cost.

Chelsea is open to bids for Disasi because they have a lot of center-backs and a lot of faith in 19-year-old Aaron Anselmino, the £15 million acquisition who was brought back from his loan with Boca Juniors this month to allow him time to get used to life in England.
